History of Sloss Furnaces Sloss Furnace is a 50 acre blast furnace no longer in working order. Donated to the city of Birmingham in 1971 by the Jim Walter corporation Sloss Furnace is now a historic landmark. Famous for it's pig iron and quality Steele products many if not all the workers who worked in this blast furnace also lived in the mill village which was once located near the abandon mill. All that stands of the old mill village is a small shack style house also known for it's paranormal activity. 2012 Investigations of Sloss Furnaces Sloss Furnaces has been a location of extreme paranormal activity, legend, and history for many years. APRT has been on previous investigations in Birmingham's old blast furnace before and has never been let down by the level of activity associated with Sloss. This investigation took place on February 4, 2012. APRT members investigated with Patrick Burns of TruTV's Haunted Evidence. This small private event was only open to a few people and we had a great time investigating with Patrick and his new wife Marley. APRT team members spent most of the day on location filming for our next episode of Apparitions-Investigating the Paranormal. The new DVD will be available for sale 2012. With more then 2 years worth of evidence and information regarding this case. The Sloss Episode will no doubt make a wonderful addition to Apparitions collectors. |
